Rooted in Love Garden

The Rooted in Love Garden is part of the Mission/Social Justice Committee.

The Rooted in Love Vegetable Garden exists for the purpose of growing produce for Sister Jeans Kitchen in Atlantic City.  Volunteer gardeners are OHPC members and/or friends who plant, maintain, and deliver the produce to designated sites.

Volunteers are always needed!

Here's How It Works:
Weekly emails are sent to volunteers indicating what garden work is needed during that week.  If you are able and available, simple reply to the email that you can help.  No reply needed if it’s not the job for you.

Here are some of the things volunteers can help with:
•placing soil and compost in the raised beds
•assisting with composting
•growing seeds from home
•planting watering
weeding •harvesting
•delivering the produce to the distribution sites

NOTE:  Two of the 12 raised beds are chair height to assist with planting and weeding.

The garden is located behind our building just off the back of our parking lot, and is enclosed by a fence.

If you would like to be added to the volunteer list, please contact Sharon Eaton.
