Latest Garden News:

The final produce delivery, for the 2022 growing season, was made on October 24th.
This year we grew 270 pounds of produce and made 19 fresh vegetable deliveries to Adeliade's Place and 18 deliveries to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.  The garden is now ready to take a rest with nitrogen producing clover as the cover crop.
THANK YOU to all volunteers who donated their time and talents to the garden.  The success of the garden could not have happened without you.

A special thanks to the Atlantic City Garden Club who donated $200 to our Rooted in Love garden.

Below are some pictures of the wonderful food that is made with our donated produce.

As the growing season winds down, we realize that we could not have donated as much produce as we did
without the help of all who

Thanks to all our volunteers, without you, none of this would have been possible!

A good time was had by all!

Volunteers are always needed!

The Rooted in Love Vegetable Garden exists for the purpose of growing produce for area food pantries and distribution sites who help feed food insecure individuals in Atlantic City and Pleasantville.  Volunteer gardeners are OHPC members and/or friends who plant, maintain, and deliver the produce to designated sites.

Here's How It Works:
Weekly emails are sent to volunteers indicating what garden work is needed during that week.  If you are able and available, simple reply to the email that you can help.  No reply needed if it’s not the job for you.

Here are some of the things volunteers can help with:
•placing soil and compost in the raised beds
•assisting with composting
•growing seeds from home
•planting watering
weeding •harvesting
•delivering the produce to the distribution sites

NOTE:  Two of the 12 raised beds are chair height to assist with planting and weeding.

The garden is located behind our building just off the back of our parking lot, and is enclosed by a fence.

If you would like to be added to the volunteer list, please contact Sharon Eaton.
