Committees
The ministry and mission of OHPC is made a reality due to the hard work and care of the various committees of the church. Currently these are:

Community Events and Hospitality Committee
Mission and Social Justice Committee
Worship, Arts, and Music Committee

These committees ensure that the congregation has places and spaces to come together, to serve one another and their neighbor, and to live out the calling to follow Jesus Christ through loving God with all our minds, souls, strengths, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. The Session of the congregation is the leadership board that makes most of the decisions on behalf of the congregation’s membership. Many of these committees meet monthly. If you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to the church office who can connect you with the correct people.

This committee is responsible for the overall organization, development, management, and improvement of educational programs for members of all ages. They will work in consultation/coordination with the Pastor and by the authority of the Session. For more information on the types of offerings for all ages, please see the “Children & Youth & Adult Education” page of the website.
This committee is established as a standing committee of the Session, but independent of all other Session committees. The work of this committee is to foster supportive relations among staff and members for the prosperity of the ministry of OHPC, conduct performance reviews of church staff with special attention to the pastor and goals previously established by the pastor, make salary recommendations for all staff members to the Finance Committee and Session for incorporation into the church’s annual operating budget proposal. This committee also has responsibility for resolving and/or addressing difficulties between staff members in the church, between members and staff, and between members of the congregation that defy resolution by the Pastor.
