What's New

Coming Soon!!

The Saint John's Bible prints are coming to OHPC and will be available to view in the Sanctuary starting April 30th.

The Saint John's Bible is a work of art and a work of theology. A team of artists coordinated by Donald Jackson (Senior Scribe to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth) in Wales and a team of scholars in Central Minnesota have brought together the ancient techniques of calligraphy and illumination with an ecumenical Christian approach to the Bible rooted in Benedictine spirituality. The result is a living document and a monumental achievement.

The Saint John’s Bible prints are to be displayed at our church from April 30th thru May 23th. Below is an excerpt from the AC Press in October of 2015, which was the last time the Bible prints were exhibited here.
"Ocean Heights Presbyterian Church is one of the few places in the country (the other two are seminaries) where people can see printed of pages from the Saint John's Bible. The Bible is a modern illuminated manuscript. Using the same techniques and materials as medieval monks, a team of artists created seven volumes containing all 73 books of the Old and New Testaments in 1,150 pages."

Plan to come and see this magnificent work of art and theology in person at our very own OHPC!
